Paradisia continues to support Australia's plant collector and hobby community through its retail nursery, Collectors Corner at Gardenworld in Braeside.

Collectors Corner grew from the personal collections of Paradisia's founders. After surplus plants were first offered at Caribbean Market in 1980, strong public interest led to the opening of a permanent retail nursery in September 1985. It has since developed into a well-known destination for people interested in rare, unusual and highly collectable plants.

Many members of the Paradisia team are collectors themselves. Their knowledge, curiosity and long-term involvement with specialist plants help shape both the displays at Collectors Corner and the plants developed by Paradisia. These collections form the foundation of the range released each year, from small batches intended for dedicated collectors to selected varieties developed for larger commercial production.

Visitors can explore an extensive and seasonally changing selection that includes cacti, succulents, orchids, bromeliads, air plants, hoyas, bonsai, carnivorous plants, indoor plants and terrarium varieties. Most of the plants sold through Collectors Corner are grown by Paradisia in its own production nurseries.

Collectors Corner is more than a conventional garden centre. It provides a place where established collections can be displayed and enjoyed by the public rather than remaining hidden in private growing areas. Alongside its plants, the store presents an extraordinary assortment of gems, minerals, fossils, meteorites, seashells and preserved insects, reflecting the same fascination with the diversity and natural history of our world.

The nursery also gives Paradisia an important connection with home gardeners and specialist growers. Customer interest, collector knowledge and years of practical growing experience all contribute to the continuing development of new varieties and future production ranges.
